Tamarack Resort to Restore Award-Winning Golf Course

TAMARACK, Idaho (October 11, 2021) — Tamarack Resort today announced it has reached an agreement to acquire its former 18-hole championship golf course, Osprey Meadows. With the agreement in place, the resort will begin restoration and rehabilitation, with plans to open the driving range in summer 2022 and hold the course grand opening in summer 2023.

The transaction is expected to close by the start of the ski season.

Osprey Meadows opened to acclaim in 2005 and was in operation through the 2015 season. During that time, it racked up recognition from GOLF Magazine (Top 10 New Courses, Top 100 Courses), Golf Digest (#1 Public Course in the U.S.) and Golfweek (Top 100 Resort Courses) as well as plaudits from Sports Illustrated and Travel + Leisure Golf.

“We are extremely pleased to have reached agreement for the acquisition of Osprey Meadows,” said Tamarack President Scott Turlington. “With this milestone behind us, we are now eager to turn our attention toward restoration and getting golfers back on our course.”

Tamarack also announced the release of new homesites along the golf course.  “We are also pleased to announce new real estate opportunities along a select few of the course’s most picturesque holes,” said Turlington. “The first of these is Aspen Glade, situated along the course’s iconic fourth fairway.”

Originally designed by the renowned Robert Trent Jones, Jr., Tamarack has again retained golf course architecture firm RTJ II to lead the restoration of Osprey Meadows. “On behalf of our entire team at RTJ II, it is very gratifying to be working with Tamarack to return this widely acclaimed golf course back to its former glory; and it is a task we accept with great enthusiasm and appreciation,” said President and Chief Design Officer Bruce Charlton.
