During the late 19th century, San Antonio was a popular destination for those seeking “healing and cures.” Hot Wells Resort beckoned with its steaming sulfuric waters that flowed from the well.   • Camp Hot Wells is equal parts wellness sanctuary and wine bar. Located adjacent to the historic Hot Wells Resort, whose ruins create a striking backdrop, Camp Hot Wells offers private cabanas, outdoor soaking tubs and wine by the bottle or glass.

Outdoor Activities

  • Explore the city on foot via a relaxing walk along the San Antonio River Walk, the largest urban ecosystem in the nation. The 15-mile-long path leads directly to some of San Antonio’s more recognizable and historic landmarks including the San Antonio Missions National Historic Park and the Alamo, both considered UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Along the River Walk, visitors will also encounter the River Walk Public Art Garden, an outdoor museum with public art installations featuring sculptures and wall-mounted pieces.
  • Established in 1919 and located in Brackenridge Park, the Japanese Tea Garden houses year-round flower displays, a 60-foot waterfall and ponds filled with Koi fish. This San Antonio classic is a wonderful setting for a quiet walk or meditative experience.

  • The San Antonio Botanical Garden is a 38-acre parcel of lush greenery and botanical diversity with a variety of events and classes. Yoga classes are offered weekly for participants of all ages and experience levels. Other sessions include soundbaths, cooking and foraging classes, family hikes and more.
  • Visitors can experience San Antonio from a new perspective while kayaking through the famed River Walk. Self-guided tours allow participants to explore on their own and at their own pace.
  • The San Pedro Creek, which flows parallel to the River Walk, has gone through an extensive redesign that has resulted in a major transformation. The former concrete-line drainage ditch has been restored to its natural creek habitat and is teeming with flora and fauna once again. Public art, including murals and sculptures, help to tell the story through a variety of illustrations and installations.

 Upcoming Events

  • Yoga Saturdays at The Good Kind welcomes the community for free yoga sessions in their garden from 10-11 a.m., followed by brunch.
  • The inaugural Endeavors WellFest happens September 23 at the Endeavors Veteran Wellness Center and is free for all participants. The event will include experiences for participants of all ages including a 5K walk or run, yoga, massage therapy, family gardening, art therapy, cooking demonstrations and live entertainment.
