At the picturesque Velaa Private Island Maldives, Master’s golfer José María Olazábal has created a unique on-property golf course (one of the only ones in the Maldives) that stretches over seven holes and nine tees known as the Golf Academy by Olazábal.

The studio also offers one-on-one classes with PGA professionals aided by the latest swing analysis technology and is also equipped with a Trackman simulator to enhance the golf session perfect for those looking to up their game after watching the pros.

The resort, reachable by a 45-minute scenic seaplane ride from Velana International Airport, comprises 47 private villas, houses and exclusive residences. While 18 of the 47 are built over water, the Romantic Pool Residence can only be reached by boat, allowing even more privacy and exclusivity.
