After researching the latest accommodation and course pricing at forty of the country’s most prestigious and renowned public courses, HomeToGo has been able to tally the scorecards and identify the country’s top 40 best and most affordable courses to play this summer. Catering to a variety of preferences, the ranking includes exceptional courses from 20 states, ensuring that golf enthusiasts nationwide can find their ideal destination without breaking the bank.

• Un-fore-gettable Fairways: While the average length of courses featured in the Golf Price Index is around 7,043 yards, Bandon Trails at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort boasts the largest grounds measuring in at over 10,200 yards. The top five destinations featured in the index are the most cost-effective in terms of yardage, allowing golfers to enjoy their play for just $0.03 per yard.
• Savings at Sunset: By opting for later tee times, golfers can enjoy substantial savings on their rounds. According to the data, the average green fee for a prime-time round is $370.90, while the average price to tee off at twilight is $188.95, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious players.
• Leaving Your Clubs at Home: Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course in Idaho and TPC Myrtle Beach in South Carolina boast the most affordable club rental fees in HomeToGo’s index at $40. When looking at all the featured courses, the average price is around $76.
• Affordable Accommodation: Sentry World Course in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, offers the most affordable nearby vacation rentals at the median price of $30.45 per person, per night. Similarly, golf enthusiasts heading to TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, can enjoy budget-friendly accommodation options starting at $33.20.
