For those seeking a truly elevated stay, the new Residence Experience offers accommodations in one of the property’s residences, with breathtaking ocean views from sunrise to sunset that can only be seen at Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. In addition to Residence accommodations, guests receive a $500 USD resort credit per stay, $500 USD credit towards immersive dining experiences, including Private Chef Table Brunch, lunch or dinner, omakase bar or the new COA Chef Table Experience, and daily continental breakfast.

For those craving time in nature, the property offers the Ambassadors of the Environment. Inspired by Jean-Michel Cousteau’s mission to advocate for the protection of the waters and fragile ecosystems, the program is an on-site environmental mission offering elevated family and group experiences through active, hands-on activities for all ages. Connections ranging from person-to-person, creature-to-creature, land-to-sea and present-to-future are highlighted throughout the program. Activities range from night hikes in surrounding areas to observe local nocturnal animals and constellations to exploring coral reefs to learn how they are solar-powered and full of activity and underwater photography classes. One of the most popular family-friendly activities, the Coqui Experience, is a fully interactive look into Puerto Rico’s coquis and other nocturnal creatures’ symphonies. The property also boasts a teen club called El Bunker with foosball tables, games and additional fun programming throughout the year.

The culinary program at Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, highlights the unique backgrounds of the estate’s culinary team.Throughout his career, Chef Jose, has worked with a number of current Dorado Beach culinary team members, creating a group that brings joint career long experience to one kitchen.

The coming months will see the following culinary activations come to life:

  • A highlight partnership launched in 2022 between Dorado Beach and Puerto Rican rum brand Ron Del Barrilito created a signature blend of Rum, exclusive to the property. Furthering this partnership, the property has launched a  limited-run dining series in which diners can enjoy a four-course menu curated by Chef Juan Peña, carefully paired with Dorado Beach’s signature barrel of Ron Del Barrilito Rum.
  • Signature restaurant COA will host a traditional Easter Brunch with a variety of ‘live stations’ including a raw bar from top Omakase chefs, carving stations, dessert bar, and more. The property will also offer a festive Easter package which includes hand made easter baskets with eggs for kids to paint and a custom cheese board for adults.
  • Come May, the Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve will welcome Flor De Sal. Inspired by Mediterranean summer, this Italian concept will join a laid back afternoon vibe with refined elegance for dinner service. The menu will feature different varieties of salt and related cooking techniques throughout. Think cooking on rock salt or using salt bricks for chicken, fish or other seafood, presenting petit fours on salt blocks, and different types of salt presented to finish dishes tableside. Using a contemporary take on tradition, Italian food regions will be featured with a modern flair through family style meals, highlighting the rich history, techniques, and flavors from the peninsula.
  • With the goal of immersing guests’ senses in a culinary adventure featuring multicultural dishes of diverse Asian origins, Posi+Ivo Sand Bar will be continuing its Asian Dinner Series into May, with each series hyper-fixating on a certain region and food. This May guests can experience a Thai street food dinner series in honor of Pacific Islander and Asian American heritage month.
  • Capping off a year of culinary excitement will be Dorado Beach’s Las Verbenas Food Festival in December 2023. This two day event will afford guests the opportunity to explore and celebrate local and international cuisine through unique cultural and dining experiences, alongside award-winning chefs. Chefs in attendance include Chef Juan Carlos Flores Barrio (Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve), Chef Javier Arrebola (The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh), Chef Renzo Muñoz Bravo (The Ritz-Carlton, Abama), and many more.
