Turks & Caicos Restaurant, the Marine Room, Opens May 9

New York, NY (May 8, 2023) – EA Group, a leading local lifestyle company and developer, has announced the opening of Marine Room, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant with stunning ocean views, exquisite cocktails, and top culinary talent. Marine Room will officially open its doors tomorrow,  May 9, ahead of the launch of the EA Group’s planned The Bight Hotel, which will become one of the largest lifestyle hospitality destinations on the Turks and Caicos Islands. 

Located on a unique parcel beside The Bight Hotel, Marine Room is a lively and soulful restaurant that celebrates life, island culture and the bounty of the sea. Guests can expect unparalleled elevated views of the ocean, a chic decor and soundtrack, and sunset and beach vistas,  making it a staple for visitors to the island.

 The Bight Hotel, set amongst the backdrop of the world-famous Grace Bay Beach, spans eight acres, and includes 66 boutique villas, 90 guestrooms, unique food and beverage concepts, a distillery and rum bar, a 140-seat private event space, a breathtaking infinity-edge pool, and top-of-the-line wellness facilities including a spa, yoga studio, and training center. The opening will take place over the next two years, with the elevated beach villas as the next phase scheduled for July 2023.

The Marine Room menu, curated by Executive Chef Dennis Omega, features a fusion of Caribbean coastal flavors and Mediterranean techniques, with an emphasis on fresh seafood and locally sourced ingredients. Guests can expect dishes like Conch Carpaccio with star fruit, oregano, and local pink peppercorn; Burrata with peach passion fruit coulis and pesto; and Pan Seared Sea Bass with risotto alla Milanese, blistered tomato, and bouillabaisse sauce. The drinks menu includes a diverse selection of libations, including a dedicated section of infused vodka martinis that use spirits from EA Group’s local distillery.

Designed by EA Group and local experts SWA Architects, Marine Room’s architecture, design, music, lighting, and ambiance reflect the energy of the island, creating a memorable atmosphere. The restaurant features floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breathtaking views of the ocean, complemented by an opposing wall of mirrors to ensure every guest has an equally stunning view.

Marine Room will open for dinner service on May 9 and reservations can be made via OpenTable. The Marine Room is located across from Bight Park, Lower Bight Rd, The Bight Settlement TKCA 1ZZ.  The restaurant is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5:00pm to 10:00pm and Friday through Saturday from 5:00pm to 12:00am.
