Hilton Lake Como, Italy – Pachamama


For a delicious drink served with a slice of dolce vita, the popular rooftop bar, Terrazza 241 at Hilton Lake Como can’t be beaten. Offering panoramic views of Italy’s most luxurious and iconic lake, guests are invited to enjoy a delectable food and cocktail menu. Inspired by nature and top of the list is the Pachamama cocktail by the hotel’s resident mixologist and head barman Ludmillla Samohin. Samohin comments, “The fusion of tequila and fresh pink grapefruit creates a drink with a captivating flavor and great character, which perfectly reflects the divinity of the Mother Earth Goddess.”

Pachamama
Ingredients:
Espolòn Tequila 40ml
Giffard Grapefruit Liqueur 25ml
Lime juice 15ml
Pink Pepper
Dragon Fruit

Method:
1.  Pour the tequila, grapefruit liqueur and lime juice into a cocktail shaker
2.  Add a handful of ice cubes and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds
3.  Strain into a glass
4.  Add a dragon fruit wedge on the rim and a dash of pink pepper by way of garnish

Gili Lankanfushi, Maldives – Gili-Rita


Served up shoreside at Gili Lankfanfushi, known for its rustic-luxe villas surrounded by crystal blue waters, the Gili-Rita is a true beauty created by Bar Captain Shviu. Paying homage to the incredible flora native to the sub-Indian continent, the cocktail’s jewel in the crown is the butterfly-pea flower found in the island’s organic garden. Gili-Rita
Ingredients:
Patron Silver 30ml
Patron Citronge 30ml
Homemade Butterfly Pea Flowers Syrup 20ml
Lime Juice 30ml
Rock Salt

Method:

  1. Rim the drinking surface of the margarita glass with rock salt
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway full with ice
  3. Add Patron Silver, Patron Citronge, lime juice and homemade butterfly pea flowers syrup
  4. Place the lid on the shaker and shake for 30 seconds
  5. Pour the margarita into a salt-rimmed glass
  6. Garnish with butterfly pea flower

Great Plains Mara-Garita
Ingredients:
Desiccated Coconut
Tequila 1.5 tot
Cointreau 0.75 tot
Lime juice 0.5 tot
Double Pineapple Juice
Coconut milk 0.5 tot
Pineapple slice for decoration

Equipment:
Cocktail shaker
Lime squeezer
Glass of choice

Method:

  1. Apply the juice of lime on the rim of the coconut glass
  2. Pour desiccated coconut on a plate and dip the lime rim in the coconut to create a ring
  3. Add the tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, pineapple juice, coconut milk in a cocktail shaker with ice
  4. Shake well and strain into the cocktail glass with ice cubes
  5. Garnish with the pineapple fruit together with pineapple leaves

Vecio Margarita
Ingredients:
Tequila Silver 45ml
Grand Marnier 15ml
Lime Juice 25ml
Old Fashioned Syrup 20ml

Method:

  1. Chill the Old-Fashioned glass with ice
  2. Wet the glass rim with lime
  3. Dip the rimmed glass in salt/curry/nutmeg
  4. Insert all ingredients in shaker
  5. Shake
  6. Pour and strain in the glass
  7. Last touch with Angostura spray

Purple Summer Mallorca Margarita
Ingredients:
Tequila 5cl
blue Curaçao 2.5cl
lime juice 2.5cl
A dash of passion fruit purée
½ fresh passion fruit

Method:

  1. Salt the rim of the glass
  2. Place all the ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake!
  3. Double strain into the glass
  4. Empty the passion fruit pulp & seeds into the cocktail and place the emptied passion fruit shell on top of the cocktail as garnish
  5. A fun option is to add flambée-d cointreau into the passion fruit shell
