Lovango Resort & Beach Club to Debut New Experiences this Winter

Lovango Cay, St. John USVI (November 1, 2023) – Lovango Resort & Beach Club, the family-owned private island resort overlooking USVI’s Caneel Bay, will unveil new one- and two-bedroom cottages this December 2023. The cottages can be rented individually or as a duo and add to existing accommodations, ranging from upscale tree houses and glamping tents, and a private three-bedroom villa.

The resort’s one-bedroom cottages will sleep a couple or a family of two adults and up to three children, with 450 square feet of indoor space and a private outdoor deck. For larger groups, two one-bedroom cottages can be rented together, doubling the amount of space. All cottages are overseen by interior designer Michael Kramer, of Michael Thomas & Co., and are equipped with custom furnishings, in-room amenities, from Matouk linens and plush robes to Nespresso coffee makers, mini fridges and air conditioning.

For the upcoming 2023/024 season, new activities include chartering a private boat with pick-up at Lovango to visit the British Virgin Islands or the USVI for a 3 or 4 day sail.  This is the only option in the Caribbean to charter a boat for less than a week; providing a unique land and sea package.

The Stay & Sail package invites guests to stay on Lovango for as long as they like and then explore the Virgin Island waters on a luxurious charter boat. Lovango Resort also offers a Coral Reef Caretake Package, allowing guests to care for its coral nurseries with private dive and snorkeling tours.

In addition, a new supervised Children’s Program will be offered February 12 – April 26. The Children’s Program is offered every Monday-Friday from 10:00am to 2:00pm for children ages 4 to pre-teen. The program is complimentary for overnight guests.

Nestled on a private island, the tranquil resort is known for its easy proximity to St. John and St. Thomas and is accessible by a short 10-minute ferry ride from either island. Offering a choice of luxury tree houses, a three-bedroom villa with private pool, glamping tents and the new cottages, the island boasts beautiful ocean views and some of the best snorkeling in the Caribbean.

Overnight guests staying at the Lovango Resort enjoy complimentary membership to the Lovango Beach Club, with spectacular views of all the US Virgin Islands, a 70-foot infinity pool, snorkeling gear, beach activities and food and optional drink service to each seat.

Lovango Resort offers concierge services, waterfront dining, a three-beach experience including a trip on the resort’s landing craft to the National Park’s Honeymoon beach, resort ferry to both St. John and St. Thomas for access to the National Park for world class hiking, beach visits and dining options.

The resort also offers a curated shopping experience with The Shops on Lovango, including five curated retail shops featuring hand-picked items by owner, Gwenn Snider. The shops include Lovango Style; Lil’ Lovango; Lovango Style Men; Lovango Style Home and the Lovango General store.

Lovango Resort will also launch festive programming alongside the opening, with Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve festivities. Guests can enjoy a holiday-themed Sand & Stars party with buffet and live music on Christmas Day, and on New Year’s Eve, a waterfront dining experience followed by a beach party with a live band to ring in the year.

Rates at Lovango Resort & Beach Club start from $995 per night in a luxury glamping tent or $1,350 per night in a luxury tree house or cottage. Rates are higher during the peak season period.
