Energy Rising Yoga with Samira Gruber
21st – 27th October 2024
Experience this holistic experience designed to enhance your overall well-being. Sessions include stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and meditation, which improve self-awareness and reinvigorate the spirit as much as the muscles.
This retreat is led by certified yoga teacher Samira Gruber, who trained in Bressanone in South Tyrol and Arco in Trentino. Samira practices various yogic philosophies, including asanas (body postures), pranayama (breathwork) techniques, and yin yoga, a slow-paced style of yoga that holds positions for longer to target the body’s deeper connective tissues. Samira further supports each practice by referring to the teachings of the Chakras (energy centres) and the Vedas (sacred scriptures of India).

Ashtanga Yoga
3rd – 7th November 2024
Ashtanga Yoga integrates breathwork with movement and meditation. It’s considered one of the more dynamic and physically demanding forms of yoga, but it is suitable for both beginner and advanced students—and this yoga suits all.
In Sanskrit, Ashtanga means ‘eight limbs’, referring to a philosophical system that provides a framework for a yogic lifestyle, as outlined in the Yoga Sutras, a book compiled by an Indian sage, Patanjali, in the early centuries CE. You’ll benefit from four-morning yoga sessions and three-afternoon sessions throughout your four-night yoga retreat.
These sessions are led by Elena de Martin, who has been teaching Ashtanga Yoga since the late 1990s and travels to India yearly to deepen her knowledge. Elena has been taught and accredited by great yogi masters in India, including Sri K. Pattabhi Joi. She has studied Sanskrit, Yoga Philosophy, and the Scriptures and their Chanting guided by M.A. Jayashree and M.A. Narasimhan. She has also practised Vipassana Meditation, a mindfulness technique, under Master S.N. Goenka.
