Native Son Ferry
Offering ferry service between St. Croix and St. Thomas, as well as St. Thomas and the BVI, Native Son is an affordable option to get you between the islands. Having run a scheduled ferry service between St. Thomas and Tortola since 1977, due to demand Native Son has recently added service to St. Croix. The high-speed ferry runs on Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays, spend the day on St. Croix or come for a weekend getaway. Scheduled service between St. Croix and St. John coming soon!
Cape Air
While they originated in New England, Cape Air has been serving the Caribbean for 20 years. Offering over 80 flights a day within the U.S. Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. Bohlke International Airways
If you are looking for luxury travel, Bohlke International Airways offers private charter flights to neighboring Caribbean islands. Seaborne Airlines
While Seaborne Airlines offers flights from St. Croix to 10 Caribbean destinations including Anguilla, St. Kitt’s and Nevis, they also offer the only seaplane flights in and out of St. Croix. If you have never taken a seaplane it is certainly fun, quick, and a lot less hassle then going through the airport. Plus, the seaplane terminal is conveniently located in downtown Christiansted on St. Croix, and flies into downtown Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas. If you are looking to get to St. John or the BVI’s, you can catch a ferry after landing on St. Thomas.
QE IV Ferry
If air travel is not your cup of tea, there is now a ferry running twice daily, seven days a week, between St. Croix and St. Thomas. Locally designed and built especially for island hopping, the QE IV Ferry’s innovative four-hulled design allows for a smooth and swift ride. The ferry terminal on St. Croix is located at Gallows Bay in Christiansted, and the St. Thomas terminal is located east of the Charlotte Amalie seaplane port. As with taking the seaplane over, you can take a ferry to St. John or the BVI’s after reaching St. Thomas. This is an affordable option to get to and from St. Thomas, plus you get to enjoy being on the water.
