Over the past 50 years, we’ve welcomed millions of educators and retired educators on our learning adventures. Now, for the first time, we’re honoring an exceptional teacher who has made a lasting impact during their career.
The Road Scholar Educator Legacy Award will celebrate one remarkable retiring educator who has left a lasting legacy on the lives of their students.
We’re calling on you to help us find this unsung hero — a teacher whose dedication, compassion and impact deserves recognition.
The Prize
One exceptional educator will win:
A $5,000 Road Scholar voucher to embark on a Road Scholar program of their choice and jump-start their lifelong learning journey in retirement.
Eligibility: Nominees must be retiring teachers or educators in daycare, preschool, K-12, college or university settings who retired in 2024 or are retiring in 2025. Help us honor the teacher who changed your life — or the lives of countless others. Nominate your hero and give them the recognition they deserve. Nominations are open now through March 31, 2025.
