GolfForever Investors Scottie Scheffler and Tom Kim claim the top two spots at The Travelers Championship
Scheffler tops fellow GolfForever Tour Athlete Tom Kim in one-hole playoff for his sixth PGA TOUR win of the season
Aspen, CO – GolfForever, the Official Golf Fitness System of the PGA TOUR and leading at-home golf training system that helps golfers play without limits, congratulates GolfForever investor and Tour Athlete Scottie Scheffler on his sixth victory of the season at the Travelers Championship. The World No. 1 golfer posted blistering rounds of 65-64-64-65 on his way to his 12th career title on the PGA TOUR after edging past fellow GolfForever investor and Tour Athlete Tom Kim who birdied the 72nd hole to force to the two-man playoff.
Scheffler stayed in contention all week before reaching 22-under-par and ahead of everyone in the field until Kim’s dramatic final-hole putt tied him at the end of regulation. Steady all four rounds, Scheffler finished the tournament leading the field in Strokes Gained: Total (12.51), hitting 89% of TPC River Highlands greens in regulation and hitting 47 of 57 fairways in regulation.
With his win, the 2022 and 2024 Masters champion become the first player since Arnold Palmer in 1962 to amass six wins in PGA TOUR season before July and collected $3.6 million in first prize earnings in this elevated event. Kim, Scheffler’s good friend and frequent workout partner in their hometown of Dallas, moved up to No. 39 in the FedEx Cup Standings and earned more than $2 million for his second-place finish. Kim, 22, and Scheffler, 28, share a June 21 birthday, which took place this year during the second round of the Travelers.
“Watching Scottie Scheffler and Tom Kim duel against each other to win a PGA TOUR Signature Event is a fitting testament to the tireless work both GolfForever Tour Athletes do to prepare their bodies for those moments,” says Jon Levy, VP of Communications and Strategic Partnerships. “It’s another reminder that, regardless if you’re a PGA TOUR star or the average weekend golfer, following a personalized program to optimize your body for the game with a platform like GolfForever helps you play golf at your highest potential, for as long as you play the game.”
