Golf Redesigned — New PGA Headquarters
The game of golf has a new home. The PGA Headquarters, originally located in Florida, have moved to Frisco, Texas. The move was supported by Page, an architecture, interiors, planning, consulting and engineering firm. Page designed the campus with sustainability, sociability, community, and of course, golf in mind.
Ricardo Muñoz, Associate Principal at Page, said “the project’s unique layout will provide the PGA with a flexible framework with which to engage with the local community, as well as with visitors from across the world.”
Open spaces encouraging socialization, lively colorful details, and expansive views of the golf courses are meant to inspire golfers far beyond their initial visit to the campus. The Page team approached sustainability efforts with careful attention to the building’s placement to maximize availability of natural light. The interior design utilizes natural, recycled, and low-VOC materials to ensure exceptional indoor air quality. Sustainability efforts reach much further, with features to reduce water use, maximize recycling and to conserve energy.
