Located a few minutes away from the city centre and shopping area, Hilton Lake Como is ideally situated nearby local attractions whilst offering jaw-dropping views of Lake Como, in an oasis of calm. Little ones are taken care of from the moment they check in, with a special Lake Como kids’ passport, colouring book, mocktail voucher and bath time amenities to enjoy during their stay and complimentary breakfast for under-12s each day.
Families are spoiled for choice when it comes to local activities. Hiking, windsurfing, wakeboarding, sailing, and motorised water sports are all available to enjoy on the lake, whilst private, multi-generational tennis and golf sessions can also be arranged. For the more mature family members, a selection of pram- and paw-friendly walks including the 20-minute Passeggiata Lino Gelpi into town provide a more gentle way to unwind while spotting the local flora and fauna en route.
For longer strolls, the 10km long Lake Como Greenway provides a leisurely walk suitable for all. Families can now stay fit and cruise around the scenic area with Hilton Lake Como’s new picnic bike tour, which includes a 3-hour guided city tour on hotel bikes. Teenagers will be impressed by Hollywood blockbuster hot spots such as Villa Balbianello, where Star Wars and James Bond’s Casino Royale were filmed. The bike tour also includes a picnic lunch, so guests can refuel with a tasty meal on the go at their chosen picnic spot, which can be personalised to guests’ preferences. Picnic lunches consist of seasonal local dishes and freshly baked breads accompanied by smoothies, fresh juice and fine Italian wines. The skilled chefs at Hilton Lake Como are on hand to please even the fussiest of eaters!
Back at the hotel, a selection of tantalising dishes and drinks for discerning and tiny tastebuds alike grace the new menus at the Terrazza signature restaurant and the more relaxed Pool Bar setting. While little ones refuel with scrumptious spaghetti and pizza, adults can enjoy a range of authentic dishes like parmigiana ravioli with Grana Padano fondue and carnaroli rice with smoked asparagus, complete with wine-parings.
