Norfolk, England, 28 February 2023: Congham Hall Hotel has launched a free guide to the spectacular golf courses on England’s Norfolk coast and a special offer for golfers.
Guests staying at the country-house hotel and spa, recently awarded 4 AA Red Stars, are being encouraged to pack their golf clubs and experience one or more of the six selected courses, all of which welcome direct bookings from day visitors. Congham’s new Golf Break not only promises some excellent golf, but a 10% discount on accommodation, too.

The hotel’s new guide, Congham’s Golf Coast, recommends top-quality courses in superb settings, which guests can book independently with the individual clubs. They include the Royal West Norfolk Golf Club (or Brancaster as it is widely known), where the tide famously transforms into an island at high tide, and Great Yarmouth and Caister Golf Club, where some holes are played across the surrounding racecourse.

The trail has been written by golf writer, Michael Whitehead, author of the Golf Lover’s Guides to England and Scotland. He has cast his expert eye across the courses, picking out highlights – and challenges – that golfers will encounter.
For example, he cautions that at Hunstanton Golf Club the wind comes straight at players on the way down the home stretch. And he advises crafting rather than blasting is the best approach to take at the woodland course at King’s Lynn Golf Club. Michael also recommends the ‘lighthouse hole’, where the green sits next to a working lighthouse, at Royal Cromer Golf Club.

When golfing guests book a round direct with one of the featured courses, they will be given a special code if they mention that they plan to stay at Congham Hall. Next they just call Congham Hall on 01485 600250, quote ‘Golf Break’, and give the code to be eligible for the discount. (Alternatively, guests can show proof of booking). The offer is valid Monday to Thursday, 17 April-30 June and 4 September-19 October 2023.
