An Exciting 2023 for Julie Reiner’s Milady’s in NYC

This past year has been one to remember for New York City cocktail bar Milady’s. Led by industry legend Julie Reiner, the buzzy bar in SoHo was recognized at #50 on the 2023 North America’s 50 Best Bars list and at #113 on the 2023 Top 500 Bars Global Ranking. Milady’s was also a Top 4 Finalist for the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards in the Best New U.S. Cocktail Bar category and a finalist in the New Bar category of Liquor.com’s Liquor Awards.

On top of all of the exciting awards, Milady’s also celebrated its one year anniversary in October, a milestone in itself to celebrate given the scope of the hospitality industry in this post-Covid world. Milady’s also hosted multiple guest bartenders throughout the year, including Drink Masters contestant Christian “Suzu” Suzuki and industry vet Simone Caporale. The team is proud of all they have accomplished in just over a year, and is looking forward to what the future holds.

Award-winning bar owner Julie Reiner (of Brooklyn’s Clover Club and Leyenda) along with partners Christine Williams, Susan Fedroff, and Chef/Partner Sam Sherman, have resurrected Milady’s, a famed SoHo dive bar that entertained patrons of all stripes for over 70 years until it closed in 2014. The address is the same, but the new Milady’s (opened Fall 2022) is updated with the team’s signature focus on quality and a lighthearted, nostalgic vibe. The group has breathed new life into the space with an innovative cocktail program featuring a menu of modernized classics and new creations, as well as elevated, American-inspired fare for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch by co-partner and Executive Chef Sam Sherman (also formerly of Clover Club).
