This National Mermaid Day, dive into a magical undersea adventure at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach, the California hotel that is known for its year-round mermaid experiences. On Saturday, March 29th, the property will be celebrating National Mermaid Day with an entire day of mermaid-themed fun, enchantment, and unforgettable moments. Whether young or young-at-heart, Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach promises to be a fintastic time!
The magical day will begin at 12:30pm with a Mermaid Meet & Greet, where kids will be able to meet the property’s three enchanting mermaids in person. At 1pm, after taking photos with the mystical sea creatures, the little ones (5 and under) can head to the Mini Mermaid Parent & Me class, where they’ll pick out their tail from the Treasure Chest and learn the way of the water with Hyatt’s ProFishional Mermaid RedCross Swim-Fin Instructor. At the same time as the mini class, mermaids over the age of 5 can participate in Mermaid Magic, a class where they will learn how to swim safely in a mermaid tail while learning underwater tricks and diving for treasure.
Following the magic, Fin Fitness will begin at 2pm, a unique take on a water exercise class for mermaids over the age of 16. In addition to guiding guests through the gentle movements, the mermaid instructor will share her passion and deep appreciation for the ocean and the life that it supports.
Throughout the day, the property will have a mermaid-themed craft table where guests can create their own mermaid-inspired jewelry to remember the day. Plus, the property will be serving a mermaid-themed menu, with highlights including a Seashell Cheeseboard, Shark Fin Nachos, Mermaid Cupcakes, and S’mores Starfish. Lastly, to wrap the festivities around 4 o’clock, there will be a special Mermaid Happy Hour at Shor, the new beachfront venue located directly on the sand with surf-inspired favorites.
