Aspen, CO – GolfForever, the Official Golf Fitness System of the PGA TOUR and leading at-home golf training system that helps golfers play without limits, congratulates World No. 1 Golfer, 2022 and 2024 Masters champion, and 2024 FedEx Cup champion Scottie Scheffler who was honored with the Jack Nicklaus Award as the PGA Tour Player of the Year for the 2024 season.
After defending his title at 2024 Hero World Challenge, an unofficial event that marked his ninth win of the season, Scheffler was surprised with the Player of the Year trophy on December 10 at a charity event in Plano, Texas. Scheffler, who won seven official PGA TOUR events in 2024, the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, as well as the FedEx Cup title, became the first player since Tiger Woods in the mid-2000s to claim Player of the Year honors in three consecutive seasons.
“Scottie Scheffler’s third straight Player of the Year award reaffirms what can result from incredible talent coupled with tireless work off the course and GolfForever,” says Jon Levy, VP of Communications and Strategic Partnerships. “We continue to be amazed by his accomplishments and humbled by his belief in our mission and products. Congratulations to Scottie on this latest accolade and yet another sign that he won’t be slowing down anytime soon.”
Scheffler, who led the PGA TOUR in scoring average (68.65) and collected a Tour-leading 16 top 10 finishes in 19 starts (and zero missed cuts), won the FedEx Cup for the first time this season. In an epic year of firsts, he also became the first player to successfully defend his title at the Players Championship and won The Masters for the second time. Scheffler is now the first player to win THE PLAYERS, a major championship, and the FedEx Cup in the same season. Scheffler also won the Tour Championship, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the RBC Heritage, The Memorial, and The Travelers Championship.
