Andaz Peninsula Papagayo is proud to present Andaz Art Week, a vibrant celebration of Costa Rican contemporary art in partnership with MÍRAME Fine Art. From December 22 to 29, 2024, one of the resort’s Studios will transform into a dynamic gallery, spotlighting the works of both renowned and emerging Costa Rican artists. Beyond the exhibition, guests can immerse themselves in the creative process through artist-led talks, live demonstrations, and interactive workshops.
Showcasing the talents of over 15 artists, the event features an array of artistic expressions, from textured abstract canvases and intimate figurative pieces to sustainable textiles and sculptural creations. Designed to foster a deeper connection to Costa Rica’s cultural heritage, the program explores evolving themes of identity, environment, and tradition within the nation’s thriving art scene.

Andaz Art Week embodies Andaz Peninsula Papagayo’s commitment to blending authentic local culture with modern luxury. In collaboration with MÍRAME Fine Art, the event features a curated lineup of acclaimed artists, including Adrián Arguedas, known for his evocative depictions of Costa Rican life and masquerade traditions, and Katrin Aason, whose textile art combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, influenced by Peruvian and Mexican dyeing techniques. Carlos Fernández creates textured landscapes using natural pigments sourced from his own farm, seamlessly blending art and nature, while Eliecer Rodríguez captivates with hyperrealist works that juxtapose everyday objects with marine life, exploring themes of consumerism and ecological impact.
