America’s Coolcation Destination is this Freshwater Island

As temperatures rise across the continental U.S., many travelers are seeking respite from the heat and gravitating toward vacation locations that offer a cooler climate.

As these “coolcations” gain in popularity, the charming Mackinac Island stands out as America’s Coolcation Destination.

Its position above the 45th parallel and proximity to the Great Lakes offer cooler temperatures in the summer (daily highs in the 60s and 70s and nightly lows in 50s) and will continue to do so in the years to come.
