Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Announces Two New Restaurants By Chef Angelo Sosa

INDIAN WELLS, CALIF. (January 30, 2024) – Nestled in the heart of Coachella Valley, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa announces two new restaurants by acclaimed Chef Angelo Sosa, Tía Carmen and Carmocha, slated to open in late spring 2024.

The opening of Tía Carmen marks the restaurant’s second location, following its highly acclaimed debut in Phoenix in April 2022.  When it opens at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells, Tía Carmen will pay homage to the beauty of the Southwest’s stories, land, and farmers through the dining experience. Carmocha will make its introduction with a collection of global small plates alongside an expansive bar and lounge.

Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa is currently undergoing a property-wide enhancement, which includes the opening of these two new dining outlets, bringing an elevated culinary and design experience to the 530-room resort.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chef Sosa to the Hyatt family with the upcoming launch of Tía Carmen and Carmocha,” said Dan Johnson, general manager of Hyatt Regency Indian Wells. “Chef Sosa is an icon in the culinary space with decades of experience and national recognition that will provide an unbeatable experience for our guests and the Greater Palm Springs community.”

Chef Angelo Sosa is a known name in the culinary industry following three seasons on Bravo’s Top Chef, founding chef and partner in the Michelin-recommended Anejo Restaurants, and author of two cookbooks.

Nestled on 45 acres of lush landscape with towering palm trees and panoramic golf course and mountain views, Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa boasts one the area’s most sought after wellness facilities with Agua Serena Spa and recently opened Kalologie medspa, which offers services like IV Hydration therapy, B12 Energy boosts, injectable neurotoxins, and more. The resort, just minutes from various activities within the Coachella Valley, also offers tennis and pickleball courts and is home to HyTides, the largest waterpark in Greater Palm Springs, which includes seven pools, dueling waterslides, a 450-foot Desert Twist Lazy River, and kids’ splash pads.
