PGA National Resort Announces ‘Stars & Stripes Weekend in Paradise’

(PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.) – PGA National Resort – South Florida’s world-class golf, pickleball, vacation, culinary, family, weddings, corporate and group events, and spa destination now showcasing the stunning results of its recent $100 million transformation – announces a spectacular “Stars and Stripes Weekend in Paradise” celebration over the July 4th weekend with an array of family fun experiences open to its resort guests and members as well as the public.

In addition to being one of the premier golf resorts in the U.S., PGA National Resort has quickly become known as one of the top South Florida destinations showcasing the incredible popularity of pickleball with 12 new courts at its state-of-the-art sports and racquet club. Whether you’re a fanatic or a newcomer to the rapidly-growing sport, the “Stars and Stripes Weekend in Paradise” kicks off in grand style in partnership with “Pickleball in the Sun” for a morning of pickleball fun from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 6.

All participants receive a “swag bag” tote with complimentary gifts from the event sponsors; a professional clinic to learn tips and tricks of the game from PGA National Resort’s on-site pro, Alex Pop-Moldovan; a chance to test your pickleball skills in friendly “social ladder play” with with various partners and the opportunity to move around the courts; “open play” to enjoy the sport at your own pace; and refreshments to stay energized with light sandwiches, wraps, and drinks.

Tickets for Pickleball in the Sun are $100 per person and open to resort guests and the public. The experience is open to players 16 years of age and older.

Also on Saturday (July 6) beginning at 6 p.m., resort guests and the public alike can enjoy a “Fireworks & BBQ” extravaganza featuring the most spectacular annual fireworks show in Palm Beach Gardens. The festivities include a delicious BBQ feast with live grills and carving stations offering succulent burgers, smoked brisket, rotisserie chicken and more; classic cocktails to sip and savor;  live music from Rhythm Me Up, a top 40 Orlando-based high energy five-piece band; kids activities including bounce houses, axe throwing, lawn games and concessions ideal for little ones. The evening concludes with a thrilling fireworks display starting at 9 p.m. sure to generate “oohs and aahs.”

Tickets for the “Fireworks and BBQ” are $100 per person for adults (inclusive of gratuity and tax). Children ages six – 12 for $30 each with kids five and under complimentary.
