Bar Harbor, Maine – March 23, 2026 – Following the success of its inaugural year, which garnered industry recognition including a Bronze Adrian Award from HSMAI—an honor recognizing excellence in travel and hospitality marketing—Terramor Outdoor Resort invites guests to once again reconnect with nature and self during the second annual Ember & Element: A Wellness Retreat, taking place May 29 – June 1, 2026.
Set on Terramor’s serene wooded grounds just minutes from Acadia National Park, the immersive weekend invites guests to slow down through intentional movement, mindfulness practices and nature-inspired experiences framed by the landscape of coastal Maine.
Time outdoors isn’t just an escape, it’s essential to our health, wellbeing and connection to one another,” said Jenny McCullough, Associate Vice President of Brand Growth for Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA), which owns and operates the Terramor brand. “Ember & Element is intentionally designed to help guests slow down, breathe deeper and reconnect—with nature, with themselves, and with each other. Seeing the return for a second year, after such strong guest response and industry recognition, reinforces our commitment to creating meaningful outdoor hospitality experiences.”
Expert-Led Programming Rooted in Nature
At the heart of Ember & Element is a hand-picked lineup of New England–based wellness experts and sought-after instructors, each bringing a distinctive, modern approach to movement, mindfulness and self-connection.
Among this year’s featured practitioners is Shazie Senen, an EFT Practitioner, Yoga Sculpt instructor and public health advocate known for her work in nervous system regulation and joyful, accessible movement. She will guide guests through:
- Sculpt. Reset – A beat-driven yoga sculpt class blending strength, cardio and mindfulness
- Journaling with Shazie – A guided journaling and EFT tapping workshop designed to support emotional clarity and grounded renewal
Guests can also explore the surrounding landscape with Danielle Sweet, an outdoor enthusiast and mountain biking guide who specializes in approachable, connection-driven cycling experiences. During the retreat, she will lead:
- Beginner Gravel Biking – A relaxed, on-property ride designed to gently energize the body and ease into the day
- Intermediate Gravel Biking – A 20-mile guided ride through Acadia’s carriage roads, featuring scenic views of Eagle Lake and Jordan Pond
Rounding out the featured talent is Jessica Rose Lantos, a Reiki Master Teacher, bodyworker and yoga instructor specializing in holistic healing practices. Guests can experience her craft through:
- Yin Yoga & Reiki – A deeply restorative session combining long-held postures with hands-on energy healing to support physical and emotional release
The weekend’s programming is further enriched by a thoughtful mix of local Maine partners and on-property expertise, creating a strong sense of place throughout each experience. Guests can participate in guided art sessions with Maine Outdoor School, as well as Voices of MDI, a fireside-style storytelling experience sharing the history and cultural narratives of Mount Desert Island through Native perspectives.
Hands-on workshops, including beeswax candle-making and interactive “Bee Chat” sessions led by Terramor’s on-site beekeeper, offer a deeper connection to the land and its ecosystems, complemented by honey tastings sourced directly from the resort’s apiary.
Evenings transition into more communal moments, with live music, guided stargazing and signature experiences such as the Fire Release Ceremony, creating space for reflection and shared connection.
All on-site programming is included with a standard stay, while dining and select off-site or specialty experiences are offered à la carte, allowing guests to further personalize their retreat.
Elevated Experiences & Optional Add-Ons
In addition to the weekend’s complimentary programming, guests can further enhance their Ember & Element experience through a curated selection of optional offerings designed to deepen relaxation and connection to the destination, including:
- Wellness Tent Treatments – A dedicated space for nature-inspired massage therapies
- Guided Hikes through Acadia National Park – Explore the rugged beauty of Mount Desert Island alongside knowledgeable local guides

A Wellness Experience Designed for All
Whether beginning the day with a sunrise-inspired movement session, exploring the surrounding landscape, or ending the evening beneath the stars, Ember & Element reflects Terramor’s philosophy—creating intentional experiences that blend outdoor adventure with elevated comfort.
This ethos comes to life through Terramor’s signature approach to outdoor hospitality, where guests retreat to thoughtfully designed canvas safari tents that blend the romance of camping with the comforts of a boutique stay, complete with refined interiors, warm, tactile details and an effortless connection to the natural surroundings.
