PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — April 7, 2026 — The Golf Performance Academy (GPA) is a full-time golf boarding school in Ridgefield, Conn. and Port St. Lucie, Fla. for 7-12th graders. GPA is proudly wrapping up its first full school year at its new campus in Port St. Lucie. As signs of spring bloom and the school year winds down across the United States, parents scramble for unique and flexible summer camp opportunities that match their children’s interests. Parents of aspiring junior golfers should focus on the summer offerings of GPA. The two campuses are distinctly different, but they share a high caliber of golf coaching and an exceptional ratio of 6 campers to 1 coach or expert.
The experts at GPA include physical performance coaches, a sports psychologist, and a full coaching team. The GPA program is based on an ongoing cycle of assessments, training and competition. Using the Player Development Index (PDI), students get a customized plan for improvement that they can use when they leave GPA.
According to Lee-Anne Gilchrist, CEO of the Golf Performance Academy, “This cycle is intentional and delivers proven results. At GPA, we focus on holistic player development—targeting key areas, benchmarked through PDI, to accelerate growth for each of our golfers.”
A typical day at GPA summer camp starts with early morning workouts followed by breakfast and morning training. After a lunch break, there are three more hours of golf, wrapping with dinner and recreation. Free time can include basketball, pickleball, movie nights, ping pong, and special outings. Both campuses offer boarding or non-boarding camp options, but a minimum of two consecutive weeks is required. GPA 2026 summer camp is in Ridgefield from June 21 to August 8 and in Port St. Lucie from June 15 to August 1.
Manuel Bermudez, Director of Golf at the Golf Performance Academy, said, “Summer training includes local tournament play, when possible, and college prep and planning for our older campers, as well as a free membership to the Junior Golf Hub, a digital college golf recruiting tool.”
If your tween or teen demonstrates a sincere interest in playing golf and improving their skills, summer camp at GPA is a great way for them to check out what being fully immersed in this holistic training environment is like and if it’s something they’d like to experience during the academic year.
