Amsterdam Manor’s eco-friendly efforts include:

  • Electricity consumption:
    • Heat is captured from ACs and used to heat up the shower water.
    • Roofs and windows are insulated to reduce the need for cooling.
    • Thermal panels also pre-heat the shower water. The whole solar boiler system has led to a decrease of 40% in electricity consumption.
    • 100% of the lights are LEDs.
  • Water consumption:
    • Low-flow faucets, showerheads, and toilets are in place.
    • The wastewater produced by the laundry is reused for irrigation.
    • Towel-reuse program where guests can decide if they want to save water by reusing their towels and linens.
    • The pool is saltwater, so chlorine free.

  • Waste production:
    • Construction waste is recycled.
    • Glass, plastic, paper/cardboard, and metal are separately disposed of and collected. These are processed by third-party companies.
    • Food waste is collected and donated to a pig farmer.
    • All utensils are made of biodegradable products.
    • Monthly beach clean ups.

  • Eco-friendly:

Amsterdam Manor only uses eco-friendly cleaning products, so no harsh chemicals.
