Guests are invited to immerse themselves in the magic of the silver screen with the return of Ojai Valley Inn’s Starlit Cinema. Screening a beloved list of family-favorites such as Encanto on July 2, Kung fU Pana 4 on July 9 and Ratatouille on July 10. Movie nights are complete with movie night essentials such as blankets, pillows and popcorn, as well as an additional snack and beverage selection available for purchase in the property’s vintage airstream trailer.
Camp Oak
While parents enjoy a weekend getaway at the iconic resort, kids are invited to participate in creative exploration at Camp Oak. With full day, half day and night camp programming offered year-round, parents can sneak away to the spa or enjoy a romantic dinner with confidence that the kids are having fun too. Camp Oak incorporates arts and crafts, science experiments and scavenger hunts throughout the resort grounds, and a curation of additional activities to keep our campers engaged and eager to learn. Campers will have the opportunity to explore themes such as Chumash Native Americans, Space Camp, Color Wars, Critter Connection, and Around the World.
Adventure
Leaning into guests’ adventurous side, Ojai Valley Inn offers a number of activities for every animal lover, outdoor enthusiast, or guests just looking to get outside. Guests can enjoy Horseback Riding through River Valley Trail ride, perfectly suited for the beginner or intermediate rider in the family. Enjoying a leisurely pace, riders will experience breathtaking views of the Topatopa mountain range, horseback. Guests can get out on the water with stand up paddleboarding, fishing, surf lessons and kayaking.

Summer camp meets serenity, where guests can enjoy house-made s’mores kits to roast fireside on the resort’s main lawn overlooking the Topatopa Mountains. For in-room fun, The Inn offers Game Night Baskets featuring buttery popcorn, a s’mores kit, a vintage set of Jacks, a classic card game (think: Old Main, Go Fish, Slap Jack, and Crazy 8’s), a 5-in-1 Magnetic Travel Game Set (includes Checkers, Chess, Backgammon, Dominos, and a deck of playing cards), Charades, Connect 4, and Sorry. Family Craft Hour
Families are invited to enjoy a creative start to the day with Craft Hour at the Apothecary, offered daily from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Artist Cottage & Apothecary. This hands-on experience features a rotating selection of seasonal and nature-inspired crafts, perfect for all ages. No reservations are required, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Beekeeping and Honey Tasting
Guests are invited to experience a day in the life of an apiarist during this immersive beekeeping and honey-tasting excursion. The journey begins at the Discover Ojai Center, where participants meet the resort’s resident beekeeper for an introduction to one of nature’s most essential pollinators—the European honeybee. From there, guests are escorted to the bee yard nestled in the heart of Mistletoe Meadows, taking in the scenic beauty of Ojai along the way. Upon arrival, they’ll step inside the apiary to observe the fascinating world of honeybees up close and learn about their vital role in the ecosystem. The experience concludes with a guided tasting of cold-pressed, raw honey in a peaceful, picturesque setting.
