Premier Florida Community to Host Several Charity Events

- The United Way Tocqueville Society Benefit – This important event on Dec. 12 aids this vital Martin County organization focused on changing lives through philanthropic leadership.
- The Hibiscus Luncheon – The upcoming March 2 luncheon benefits the Hibiscus Children’s Center, a safe shelter for abused, abandoned and neglected children by providing prevention, early intervention and advocacy through quality residential, assessment and recovery programs. Since opening its doors, Hibiscus Children’s Center has provided more than 325,000 nights of safety for area children.
- Florida Oceanographic Society Fundraiser – Taking place on March 29, this benefit supports the non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire environmental stewardship of Florida’s coastal ecosystems through education, research and advocacy. The Florida Oceanographic Society also offers educational programs to people of all ages and conducts research and restoration programs that lead to healthy coastal ecosystems.
Other noteworthy events on the Sailfish Point calendar in 2020 include the Landesman Cancer Research Fundraiser on Jan. 27, the United Way Humanitarian Award Reception on Feb. 21, and the Boys and Girls Club of Martin County Distinguished Speaker’s Luncheon in March.
