Sundance, UTAH (December 1, 2025) – Sundance Mountain Resort’s most exciting development in decades, the Inn at Sundance Resort, is set to open for the Winter 2025-26 season and has announced that today, the hotel is available for bookings for stays beginning January 22, 2026. The new-build, ski-in/ski-out hotel balances development and preservation, writing a new chapter for Sundance Mountain Resort and building on Robert Redford’s legacy.
The Inn is a brand-new 63-room, ADA-accessible hotel at Sundance Mountain Resort’s Resort Village, satisfying a long-awaited need for the iconic destination. Comprising two distinct wings connected by a footbridge where “a river runs through it,” the Inn was designed with the same intentional mindset that defined Sundance Mountain Resort from the very beginning.
The Inn’s gathering spaces include a comfortable Living Room lounge area and a wraparound porch deck for indoor and outdoor lounging, while a rotating art gallery, complemented by curated artistic touches woven throughout, sparks inspiration and invites conversation among guests. A Ski Valet service and Boot Room offers, for the first time, private lockers and a dedicated space for all overnight guests to change out of their ski boots or hiking shoes. Guest rooms offer stream, ridgeline and majestic Mount Timpanogos views, and range from king and double queen rooms to one-bedroom suites. Situated in the center of the Resort Village and steps from beloved dining and social spaces including the Art Studio, Owl Bar, and the Tree Room, the Inn is poised to serve as the homebase and heart of the Sundance Resort experience.
The opening of the Inn at Sundance marks a pivotal moment in Sundance Mountain Resort’s evolution. For more than fifty years, Robert Redford’s commitment to “develop a little and preserve a lot” has guided every step at the resort. Its long-term plan for progress is balanced through this mission and has culminated in a new experience for guests and visitors to the destination. Additional improvements include fine-tuning of resort operations, expanded beginner and expert terrain, and the resort’s newly opened Mountain Camp Day Lodge. Alongside the Inn’s long-awaited opening this season, Sundance Resort will reveal 60 acres of new terrain, including a new ridge run that drops 1800 vertical feet and is poised to become a signature run for the destination. In the Winter 2026-27 season, the resort will debut the Electric Horseman, a new high-speed quad lift, which will add an additional 105 acres of terrain.
