Paris Landmark Hôtel de Sers Reopens After Full Renovation Just Steps from Champs-Élysées

Paris, France (June 9, 2025)Hôtel de Sers, part of the B Signature Hotels & Resorts collection located in the famous Triangle d’Or, just moments from the Champs-Élysées and Avenue Montaigne, has reopened its doors following a comprehensive renovation that honors its 19th-century heritage while embracing a refined, contemporary vision of hospitality. Once the private mansion of Henri-Léopold Charles, Marquis de Sers, the hotel retains the architectural splendor of its Haussmannian origins. Key period features have been meticulously preserved, including the carriage entrance, a monumental marble staircase with wrought-iron detailing, and the original salon de réception with ornate moldings and soaring ceilings. The renovation, led by interior architect Pascal Allaman in collaboration with owners Anne and Agathe Jousse, was focused on enhancing the property’s historical identity with a fresh, modern sensibility.

Hôtel de Sers’ atmosphere of quiet sophistication sets the tone, where the interplay of light and material is central to the design narrative. Soft, golden herringbone parquet floors and restored wood paneling create a warm, tactile foundation, while custom lighting subtly highlights the architectural detailing throughout the hotel. The 45 rooms and seven suites are decorated in a palette of neutrals featuring dove grey, sand, pearl, and cream, accented with exotic-print textiles, vintage objets d’art, and brushed brass fittings. Velvet-upholstered headboards, fluted wall panels, and sculptural furnishings offer a boudoir-inspired comfort that evokes both 1930s glamour and contemporary elegance. Carefully curated wallcoverings and geometric carpets contribute texture and rhythm, while tall windows let in abundant natural light, enhancing the hotel’s serene ambiance.

On the top floor, three Signature Suites embody the new vision of the property. The Eiffel Suite features uninterrupted views of the Eiffel Tower, a warm mix of wood and ivory tones, and bespoke furniture that pairs sleek lines with inviting comfort. The Panoramic Suite offers a spacious, open-plan layout, with its living room beneath a glass roof, a wraparound sofa, marble writing desk, expansive windows framing the rooftops of Paris and a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower. The Marquis’ Apartment resembles a large Parisian family home, complete with light oak flooring, wall tapestries, iridescent beige curtains and discreet gold accents throughout. All of the rooms within the newly reopened property cultivate the intimate lived-in luxury of a Parisian private home.

Outdoor space is a defining feature of the newly reimagined Hôtel de Sers. Half of the hotel’s rooms and suites now include a private terrace, and of those, approximately half offer coveted views of the Eiffel Tower. The Suite Eiffel boasts not one but two furnished terraces, one extending from the living room and another from the bathroom, both offering spectacular vistas of the Iron Lady. The Marquis’ Apartment features a large terrace with a partial Eiffel Tower view that opens onto a secluded garden, complete with elegant outdoor furnishings. These open-air extensions serve as tranquil oasis above the city, inviting guests to enjoy al fresco breakfasts, sunset aperitifs, or simply the rare luxury of space and sky in the heart of Paris.

Throughout the hotel, design continuity and visual harmony have been prioritized. The 22-meter (72 ft) entrance gallery, a hallmark of grand Second Empire mansions, is lined with portraits of the Marquis de Sers’ lineage, offering a dramatic prelude to the experience. This gallery opens into the lobby, where soft mineral tones and ambient lighting create a tranquil first impression. Géraldine Prieur’s custom-designed graphic rugs provide a bold yet elegant transition from the lobby into the restaurant and bar, tying together stone textures with the sun-warmed palette of the lounge. One of the hotel’s most striking spaces is the glass-canopied courtyard patio, now transformed into a leafy urban sanctuary complete with iron trellises, citrus trees, and streamlined teak furnishings. It serves as a hidden retreat from the city, ideal for quiet afternoons or intimate evening gatherings. Completing the renovated guest experience is a new wellness area and a new partnership with French wellness house, Calma Paris. The space includes a massage room, a traditional hammam, sauna, and a state-of-the-art fitness studio.

From public spaces to private rooms, every element at Hôtel de Sers has been thoughtfully curated to reflect the elegance of its heritage while offering a sanctuary of calm in the bustling heart of Paris. Room rates at Hôtel de Sers start at 490 € per night.
