(DALLAS, TX) – Omni Hotels & Resorts – the official hotel partner of the PGA TOUR – is proud to announce PGA TOUR standout Sahith Theegala as brand ambassador. The two-year partnership further showcases Omni’s investment in the golf space and growth of the game among all ages.
Before joining the PGA TOUR in 2022, Theegala was a three-time “All American” at Southern California’s Pepperdine University. He additionally won the Haskins Award, Ben Hogan Award, and Jack Nicklaus Award, becoming only the fifth person to win all three prestigious amateur honors in the same year.
Currently positioned at No. 19 in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) with just under $20 million in career earnings already, Theegala won the 2023 Fortinet Classic for his inaugural victory. He was also a member of the winning 2024 U.S. Presidents Cup team, and is on the roster of the Los Angeles Golf Club team in the new Tomorrow Golf League (TGL).
“We are excited about our new partnership with such an exceptional player and person as is Sahith Theegala,” says Dan Surette, Chief Sales Officer at Omni Hotels & Resorts. “This signing continues to signify Omni’s commitment to a ‘best-in-class’ brand highlighted by our exceptional collection of golf resorts and working with ambassadors like Sahith, who will help us bring the game of golf to all ages and skill levels across the country.”
“It’s an honor to begin this new partnership with an impressive family-owned organization like Omni,” says Theegala. “I’m so excited by Omni’s commitment to bringing golfers together to enjoy the game of a lifetime, but even more important is their ongoing support and interaction in local communities with charitable initiatives like their ‘Birdies-or-Better’ campaign which feeds thousands upon thousands of our fellow citizens in need.”
The Birdies-or-Better campaign is an extension of Omni’s Say Goodnight to Hunger program, which gives one meal to a local Feeding America network food bank for each stay at any Omni hotel or resort. Created in 2018, Birdies-or-Better provides four meals to a family in need for every birdie-or-better made during each PGA TOUR event.
