Beckons has announced plans for a new ultra-luxury lodge adjacent to Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park, offering what will become the closest luxury accommodation to Uluṟu and the most intimate way yet to experience one of Australia’s most sacred landscapes.
Marking the first new build for the Beckons portfolio since the brand launched in March 2026, the intimate nine-suite retreat is planned to begin construction in the coming months, with an anticipated opening in early 2028.
Set low within the dune landscape, the lodge will feature eight Desert Suites and one premium Desert Pavilion, each with uninterrupted views of Uluṟu, private plunge pools, floor-to-ceiling windows, and architecture designed to blend seamlessly into the surrounding environment. Conceived by JAWS Architects, the retreat incorporates natural materials including ironbark timber, rammed earth, Corten steel, and Pilbara red marble, creating a design that is deeply connected to Country.
Beyond the accommodations, the lodge will offer highly personalized, guided experiences designed to foster a genuine connection with the Red Center. Guests will have opportunities to engage with First Nations culture through carefully curated experiences, while commissioned artworks inspired by the Aṉangu Creation story of Kungkarangkalpa (Seven Sisters) and partnerships with leading Indigenous art centers further enrich the guest experience.
