LOS CABOS, MEXICO (July 28, 2025) – Mexico Grand Hotels is set to redefine the Cabo San Lucas boutique scene with the highly anticipated debut of Kadún, a 110-room retreat opening in October 2025 just steps from El Médano Beach and the iconic Cabo Marina. Offering a soulful blend of heritage, design, and barefoot elegance, Kadún invites travelers to experience Baja California Sur through a more intimate, grounded lens.
The name “Kadún” comes from the language of the Pericú, the region’s original inhabitants, and refers to the cardón cactus, a striking desert plant that symbolizes resilience and grace. This sense of rootedness carries through every aspect of the hotel’s design and guest experience, from architecture that echoes Contemporary Mexican “Casona” to moments of connection with local art, cuisine, and culture.
“Kadún is more than a new addition to our portfolio; it’s a love letter to Baja,” said Gabriel Ibarra Macías, Sales & Marketing Director at Mexico Grand Hotels. “We wanted to create a place where guests could feel Cabo’s energy just outside the door, but retreat to something serene, grounded, and inspired by the land’s story.”
Designed for discerning travelers looking for a sense of place, Kadún offers a mix of thoughtfully appointed rooms and spacious suites, some with oceanview terraces, outdoor jacuzzis, and kitchenettes. Warm, earthy palettes and clean, organic lines set the tone, while expansive windows bring in light and the surrounding beauty.
Kadún’s experience-forward amenities include:
- A rooftop pool and sun deck with panoramic views
- A signature restaurant spotlighting hyperlocal ingredients and contemporary Baja flavors
- A casual café and deli perfect for grab-and-go mornings
- A full-service spa and wellness center with a steam room and holistic rituals
- A rooftop lounge ideal for sunset cocktails or stargazing
- Flexible meeting spaces and event areas for intimate gatherings or creative retreats
As part of the Mexico Grand Hotels family, Kadún guests will enjoy shared access to sister properties, including Vista Encantada Spa Resort & Residences, Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences, and Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa, expanding the possibilities for wellness, dining, and leisure during their stay.
Opening October 2025, Kadún brings a new perspective to Cabo San Lucas, one that celebrates tradition while embracing thoughtful luxury in the city’s most vibrant setting.
