Aliza Hotel is a charming, family-owned boutique property in Venice, CA. Co-founded by siblings Daniel Galdjie and Donna Silver in 2023, the hotel brings to life a long-held family dream, one their father envisioned for over 20 years.
Set near the intersection of Rose and Lincoln, Aliza Hotel serves as a gateway to the walkable, creative corridor of Rose Ave. Once a run-down roadside motel, it has been thoughtfully transformed into a warm, design-forward mid-century retreat with plans in the works for community events and programming.
With 19 rooms and suites, including a two-bedroom bungalow, the property blends historic character with modern comfort. Most rooms feature original Art Deco bathroom tile paired with eco-friendly toiletries from Public Goods. The bungalow, complete with a full kitchen, living and dining areas, sunroom, and private yard, is ideal for groups, families, and intimate gatherings.
Thoughtful touches elevate every stay, from high-speed Wi-Fi and complimentary coffee and tea to a hydration station and free on-site parking. A signature scent runs throughout the property, while a vintage-inspired record player in reception invites guests to slow down and set the tone for their stay.
The design blends Venice and the Mediterranean influences, with a warm white exterior, desert-meets-coastal landscaping, and blue accents throughout. Vintage photography, including Slim Aarons prints and images of Jackie O (originally from Ojai Valley Inn), adds a timeless, sun-soaked character.
Named for their grandmother Aliza, whose warmth and Persian hospitality continue to inspire the space, the hotel reflects both family legacy and community spirit.
