Jasper National Park already packs an epic summer adventure filled with wildlife, waterfalls, glaciers, and stargazing. Now, thanks to the newly launched Canada Strong Pass, the trip just got a lot more affordable. Visitors planning to hike the Icefields Parkway, paddle Maligne Lake, or camp beneath some of the world’s darkest skies, can take advantage of the new national offer that makes it easier (and cheaper) to discover the very best of Canada’s natural and cultural treasures.
While some destinations are exploring increased fees for visits to national parks, Canada is taking a different approach – offering expanded access and savings to help more people experience its iconic landscapes and cultural sites.
From June 20 to September 2, 2025, the Canada Strong Pass opens the door to free and discounted access across the country—including the heart of the Canadian Rockies in Jasper.
Perks include:
- Free admission to all Parks Canada-administered national parks, historic sites, and marine conservation areas—including Jasper National Park
- 25% off camping fees at Parks Canada locations
- Free VIA Rail travel for kids 17 and under, and 25% off for young adults (18–24)
- Free museum admission for children and 50% off for young adults at national museums, including participating provincial and territorial galleries
- No pass or registration required—just show up and enjoy
It’s an easy way for families, young travelers, and culture seekers to connect with Canada’s diverse landscapes and stories—whether that means spotting elk in Jasper or viewing the heavens above in the largest Dark Sky Preserve in the western hemisphere.
