“We are thrilled to welcome Alexandra to the Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City team at such an exciting time,” said Pina Purpero, General Manager. “Salt Lake City is a dynamic destination for business and leisure travelers, with one of the fastest growing downtown areas in the United States. We are excited to see her excel in bringing new business opportunities to the hotel, continuing to elevate our marketing efforts, and further strengthening our position as the headquarter hotel for events, conferences, and leisure stays in downtown Salt Lake City.”
Alexandra joins the hotel during a pivotal time for Salt Lake City. Adjacent to the hotel, the Salt Palace Convention Center is slated to undergo a renovation, beginning in 2027, to meet demand. In addition, a 6.5-acre sports, entertainment, culture and convention district is approved to be developed in downtown Salt Lake City, while the destination gears up for the 2034 Winter Olympics.
Prior to joining Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City, Alexandra served as Director of Group Sales at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa, where she achieved record group room revenue in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and mentored a team of sales managers to achieve their goals in selling large scale events. During the Maui fires, she oversaw the Red Cross block that temporarily housed hundreds of community members who lost homes. Throughout her career, Alexandra has demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale events, leading sales teams and streamlining operational processes to drive business growth.
A graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, Alexandra is actively involved in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, serving as co-chair for the Women at Hyatt chapters in both San Diego and Hawaii. She is passionate about cooking, volunteering, and spending time with family.
