GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – September 8, 2026 – Beyond its iconic turquoise waters and pristine beaches lies a Caribbean of extraordinary contrasts – a collection of distinct islands, cultures and landscapes best experienced through a Journey that moves seamlessly between them. From mid-October 2026 through March 2027, Explora Journeys’ upcoming Caribbean season brings this diversity to life across two ships, combining the elevated service, spaciousness and experiences of the region’s most refined resorts with the freedom to discover multiple destinations with ease; no unpacking, repacking or complicated logistics. From celebrated shores such as Saint Barthélemy, Saint Lucia and the British Virgin Islands to lesser-known destinations, each Journey reveals a different facet of the Caribbean, bringing together its varied landscapes, cultures and coastal character.
EXPLORA I departs Miami on November 17, 2026 to begin her Caribbean sailings, following her transatlantic Journey from Barcelona. Meanwhile, the newly launched EXPLORA III makes her debut in the region, departing Québec City on October 15, 2026 and sailing south down the Atlantic seaboard to reach San Juan, Puerto Rico on November 1. Both ships pair oceanfront suites, sunlit decks and open-air living with intuitive hospitality and signature inclusions, creating a seamless transition between days ashore and time at sea, as each new horizon brings another side of the Caribbean into view.
“There is no single Caribbean,” said Anna Nash, President of Explora Journeys. “It is a collection of different worlds, each with its own character, traditions and natural beauty. Our approach is to bring these worlds together in one smooth Journey – giving our guests the elevated service, space and experiences they expect from an exceptional Caribbean resort, while allowing them to discover multiple sought-after destinations such as Saint Barthélemy, Saint Lucia and the British Virgin Islands. This is the Ocean State of Mind: the freedom to experience more, effortlessly.”
A Caribbean of many worlds
Explora Journeys’ immersive Destination Experiences reveal the natural wonders, rich character and dramatic coastlines that define this part of the world. Guests can discover the British Virgin Islands and swim through the sea pools and giant granite boulders of The Baths on Virgin Gorda, witness humpback whales in their ancient breeding grounds in Samana Bay, trek through primordial rainforest to hidden waterfalls in Dominica, or powerboat along Grenada’s coastline to snorkel among the wonders of the Underwater Sculpture Park.
In Port of Spain, the rhythms of Trinidad and Tobago come alive through soca and steelpan performances, while intimate boat trips reveal the secluded shores of Anguilla’s Little Bay. In Guadeloupe, peaceful paths wind through the botanical gardens of Deshaies, while in Saint Barthélemy, jet ski to Coco Island and experience panoramic views of the island’s shoreline. In Saint Lucia, guests can work alongside a master chocolatier, discovering the island’s rich culinary heritage through a hands-on experience.
Complementing these coastal encounters, immersive culinary and local craft experiences offer deeper connections to the destination’s culture. Guests can savor a beachside lobster lunch following a morning of snorkeling in Antigua, create a bespoke rum blend in Saint Kitts, or work alongside a master chocolatier in Saint Lucia.
The Caribbean, experienced onboard
Life onboard reflects the spirit of this part of the world, with culinary creations drawing inspiration from fresh seafood, sun-ripened produce and the spices and flavors of the Caribbean. Guests might move from a leisurely lunch overlooking the ocean to an afternoon by the pool, a wellness treatment or a quiet moment on their private terrace, before coming together for dinner as the next coast reveals itself over the horizon. With thoughtful inclusions and no fixed dining times, each day can take its own shape – whether that means exploring ashore, lingering over a meal, or simply enjoying the ocean around them.
The festive season adds another dimension, with Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year celebrated beneath tropical skies. As the season unfolds, the ship becomes the setting for gatherings and celebrations, allowing guests to simply arrive, be present and enjoy the moment. From intimate gatherings and destination-inspired culinary moments to time spent with loved ones overlooking the ocean, the season invites guests to embrace the warmth and light of the Caribbean. For New Year’s Eve, guests aboard EXPLORA III can welcome the year with fireworks over San Juan, creating a memorable finale against the backdrop of the Puerto Rican capital.
Multiple islands. One seamless Journey.
In this way, Explora Journeys brings together the hallmarks of an exceptional Caribbean resort with the freedom of a Journey: spacious oceanfront suites, award-winning dining, holistic ocean wellness, intuitive hospitality and thoughtful inclusions.
