August 2022…// Hilton Molino Stucky Venice, the five-star hotel on Giudecca Island, is delighted to offer families a series of must-try cultural activities during their time in Venice. Designed to immerse all ages in the local culture and history, the local offerings encourage families to swap screen time and the stresses of daily life for authentic experiences including Venetian rowing, mask-making, art workshops and dining on local delicacies.

Go Active with Venetian Rowing, Beach Biking and Panoramic Pool Swimming

New for 2022, families staying at Hilton Molino Stucky Venice can now try their hand at the most famous of all Venetian traditions… Venetian rowing! In a private session suitable for adults and children, a master rower will share the secrets of the city’s ancient tradition, demonstrating expert tips for the perfect stroke and steering technique before guests grab the oars of a traditional Venetian boat. Following the personalized lesson, guests will soon be gliding along a wide, quiet canal before navigating one of the larger open lagoons.

Those wishing to cool down over the summer months can also visit Lido Blue Moon, a private beach thirty minutes away from the hotel on the island of Venice Lido. Hilton Molino Stucky Venice can arrange beach access for families and groups of all ages to enjoy the perfect beach day.

Once on site, families can rent bicycles and explore the vintage atmosphere of the world’s famous Venice Film Festival before going for a dip in the gentle and refreshing water. Water babies under adult supervision will, of course, also have access to the hotel’s rooftop swimming pool, the highest pool in Venice, in case an extra dip during the day is required!

Get Creative with Mask Making, Glass Blowing and Art Workshops

Hilton Molino Stucky Venice is encouraging families to get in touch with their creative side with a Venetian mask making offering at one of the city’s ateliers. After selecting from over 50 different papier-maché models, guests can decorate their mask as they choose, utilizing the craft-centre’s paints, gems, feathers, glitter and more to make a special holiday souvenir and recreate a carnival atmosphere wherever they are!

The hotel can also arrange for families with children aged ten and up to visit a local glass blowing workshop. Here, guests can better understand the intricacies and complex art behind creating the delicate Murano glass, dating back to the 8th century. Young travelers will be mesmerized as the artisans meticulously demonstrate their skills creating sculptures from red-hot melted glass in various bold colours.  Parents will have the opportunity to purchase a high-quality Murano glass creation as a special memento of their tour.

If the magnificent art inspires guests in Venice, Hilton Molino Stucky Venice can also arrange for families to enjoy privately guided tours and workshops at The Peggy Guggenheim Collection. The museum boasts some of the most impressive galleries in Italy of European and American art of the twentieth century and is conveniently nearby the hotel.
