Bringing more than 20 years of hospitality experience to the role, Saputo joins the property with a background spanning luxury hotel brands, acclaimed independent resorts, and a deep-rooted passion for thoughtful service and operational excellence.

Saputo’s interest in hospitality began early and has guided his career ever since. After discovering a fascination with hotels as a child, he entered the industry at 15 as a bellman in his hometown. Over the years that followed, he built experience across nearly every area of hotel operations, ultimately rising into senior leadership and General Manager roles. His career has included work with globally recognized brands such as Waldorf Astoria, Four Seasons, and Rosewood, along with celebrated independent destinations including Pelican Hill and Ojai Valley Inn.
His appointment also marks a return to a destination with strong personal and professional significance. Having previously held roles at both Hotel Californian and Rosewood Miramar, Saputo knows the Santa Barbara market well and has long considered it home.
