Bend, Oregon (July 29, 2026) – CASCADA, the award-winning hospitality brand behind Portland’s acclaimed CASCADA Thermal Springs + Hotel, today announced plans to open a new destination in Bend, Oregon, in 2028.
Located in one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier destinations for outdoor recreation, CASCADA Bend will invite guests to pair days of adventure with evenings of deep restoration through the brand’s signature Thermal Wellness experiences. The 68-room retreat will feature spacious accommodations, each with a private balcony and fireplace, alongside immersive thermal springs, movement, recovery, and thoughtfully designed spaces that foster relaxation and connection throughout the year.
The Bend project builds on the success of Portland’s award-winning CASCADA Thermal Springs + Hotel, nationally recognized for reimagining wellness hospitality through immersive thermal bathing, biophilic design, thoughtful nourishment, and exceptional guest experiences.
“From the beginning, our vision has been to create places that help people live healthier, more connected lives while demonstrating what the future of wellness hospitality can look like,” said Brian Heather, Managing Partner of CASCADA. “Bend is a natural evolution of that vision. Its deep connection to the outdoors, wellness-minded community, and extraordinary natural beauty make it the ideal setting for our next destination.”
A Wellness Retreat Inspired by Place
Designed to reflect the landscapes and rhythms of Central Oregon, CASCADA Bend will offer an immersive wellness experience rooted in restoration, movement, and connection to water.
Planned amenities include:
- 68 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, each with a private balcony and fireplace
- Signature thermal springs and hydrothermal wellness experiences
- Spa and treatment facilities
- Fitness, movement, and recovery programming
- Curated food and beverage offerings focused on seasonal, nourishing ingredients
- Indoor and outdoor gathering spaces designed to foster connection and relaxation
- Art, design, and wellness programming inspired by the local community and surrounding landscape
Designed for People and Planet
At CASCADA, every destination is designed with a simple belief: exceptional hospitality should benefit both people and planet. Every decision, from the guest experience to the building itself, is guided by a commitment to elevate human wellbeing while respecting and preserving the natural environment.
Building on decades of experience in sustainable development, CASCADA Bend will incorporate biophilic architecture, energy-efficient systems, responsibly sourced materials, and water-conscious design strategies that enhance both guest comfort and environmental performance. These principles work together to create spaces that feel naturally restorative, seamlessly connecting guests to the surrounding landscape while minimizing the property’s environmental footprint.
This philosophy extends beyond sustainability. It is about creating destinations that inspire restoration, foster meaningful connections, and leave both guests and the places they visit better than they were found.
Marc Coluccio, Managing Partner of CASCADA, said the project is meant to serve residents, not only travelers. “This is built for Bend, not just for hotel guests,” he said. “Locals will be able to soak and eat here year-round. We want it to be part of everyday life in this town.”
The company expects the development to create more than 150 permanent jobs once open, in addition to construction jobs during the build, and its on-site garage is designed to alleviate street parking congestion. During construction, CASCADA and general contractor Lease Crutcher Lewis say they will work to limit disruption for neighboring businesses, which will remain open.
A New Chapter for Thermal Wellness
As travelers increasingly seek experiences that restore both body and mind, CASCADA is redefining what hospitality can be. By bringing together immersive thermal bathing, movement, recovery, nourishing cuisine, and thoughtful design, CASCADA creates destinations where every stay is an opportunity to reconnect, recharge, and return home feeling renewed.
