Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica – December 9, 2025 – Andaz Peninsula Papagayo is delighted to announce the return of Andaz Art Week, a new edition created in collaboration with MIRAME Fine Art. From December 26 to January 2, guests are invited to discover a curated celebration of Costa Rican art, featuring work by more than ten local artists whose work reflects the richness and diversity of the country’s contemporary art scene.
This year’s edition presents a refined perspective on artistic expression in Costa Rica. The exhibition includes abstract and figurative painting, watercolor, oil, and textile pieces. Many of the works explore themes of identity, nature and innovation, offering an insightful look into what Costa Rica’s artists are producing today.
As part of Andaz Peninsula Papagayo’s continued commitment to the local community, a portion of all artwork sales during Art Week will be donated to Creciendo Juntos. These funds support education, health and development programs for children and families in need.
Artists and Practices: The artists presented by MÍRAME Fine Art represent a wide range of contemporary perspectives in Costa Rica. Among them is Juan Carlos Camacho, whose background in drawing, architecture, and painting informs watercolors that reveal how landscapes and built spaces carry traces of memory and lived experience. Carolina Guillermet contributes vibrant abstract compositions that translate the chromatic energy of Latin American cities into layered fields of color, transforming emotion into a visual language. Miguel Hernández Bastos, who works with fire, smoke, and mixed media, creates atmospheric pieces that consider transformation, impermanence, and the relationship between the mechanical and the human. The exhibition will include artworks from approximately fifteen artists, totaling around twenty-five pieces.
