Portland, Maine (June 22, 2026) — Award-winning Allagash Brewing Company is welcoming Summer 2026 with new offerings and enhanced experiences at its Maine tasting rooms. Alongside new seasonal beverages, guests can enjoy beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails, food, family-friendly activities, and regularly scheduled events at the two destinations, which attract nearly 150,000 visitors annually.
“Creating memorable experiences around great beer is what inspires our team every day,” said Emily Wallace, Hospitality Director at Allagash Brewing Company. “Whether someone is visiting us for the first time or returning for a favorite tradition, we want every guest to find something new to enjoy. This summer, we’re especially excited to offer fresh experiences, new beverages, and more reasons to make Allagash part of a Maine adventure.”
A centerpiece of Maine’s experience, the brewery’s flagship Portland Tasting Room has been recognized by TripAdvisor and USA Today as a top destination, while The Bungalow, which opened in summer 2025 in nearby Scarborough, deepens the brand’s hospitality footprint with an extensive menu and new special events.
Outdoor Fun
At the Portland flagship, the family-friendly Backyard is back open and better than ever. With a sandbox, rocks to climb on, a chalkboard to draw on, a canoe to play in, and room to roam for the kids, the Backyard is built to be fun for kids and their caretakers alike. There are also plenty of shaded picnic tables and the Tiny House can bar offering signature Allagash drinks. Plus, there are popsicles available for the kids as a pre or post-frolick treat.
The Allagash White Origin Story
Visitors can head to both The Bungalow in Scarborough and the Portland flagship to experience, straight from the source, the brewery’s signature and first-ever beer created in 1995, Allagash White. The most-awarded witbier globally, Allagash White helped introduce Belgian beers to mainstream American drinking culture and launched a craft beer movement in Maine, right on the same Industrial Way block where Allagash still makes all their beer today.
“There’s something special about enjoying an Allagash White right where it all began,” said Rob Tod, Founder, Allagash Brewing Company. “We first brewed White here in Portland more than 30 years ago, and today it’s still made on the very same Industrial Way campus. Whether you’re visiting Maine for the first time or returning for another summer, sharing a fresh pour of White straight from the source is one of the experiences we’re proudest to offer.”
For a deeper dive into Allagash history, Portland tasting room visitors can book a guided tour of the original brewing space that launched the Maine craft beer revolution in 1995. Additionally, The Cellars, a bespoke space home to Allagash’s most experimental and complex beers, offers its own tours and tastings, including brewery exclusives that deepen attendees appreciation and understanding of everything beer.
World Cup Watch Parties
Summer 2026 is set to be a dream-come-true for sports fans, and they can catch all the action at both the Portland flagship and The Bungalow. Both will host World Cup watch parties, along with baseball and more, on big screen TVs.
The tasting rooms also host trivia nights, complimentary tastings, happy hours, and mobile bookstore pop-ups. For a complete schedule of events visit: https://www.allagash.com/visit/.
New Summer Sips
Allagash’s flagship Portland Tasting Room and The Bungalow in Scarborough will debut several new seasonal beverages, including tasting room exclusives. The latest creations rolling out this June are:
- Grapefruit Pale Ale (5.1% ABV): A crisp, refreshing pale ale that squeezes together bright grapefruit citrus with a balanced hop profile.
- Big Coast IPA (7.5% ABV): Inspired by Maine’s scenic shoreline, Big Coast IPA delivers wave after wave of tropical hoppiness, layered with ripe pineapple, ruby-red grapefruit, and a subtle resinous backbone.
- Slow Set (2.9% ABV): A laid-back and sessionable wheat beer featuring gentle notes of sweet orange and crisp citrus flavor. Distinct from most of the summer releases,
- Slow Set is also now shipping to select markets outside Maine, starting with Chicago and New Jersey, giving fans beyond the state an early taste of Allagash’s seasonal program.
Later in the season, Allagash will be expanding beyond the traditional styles they’re known for with beverages built for peak summer relaxation. Debuting in July are:
- Easy Tide (5.0% ABV): A mojito-inspired lager blending crisp malt character with lightly herbal, freshly muddled cocktail notes.
Food, Merch, and More
After working up an appetite, guests of both tasting room locations can enjoy food from Bite Into Maine, hailed as making the best lobster roll in the state by Food & Wine magazine.
Visitors will also find new Allagash merchandise arriving regularly throughout the season, from apparel to accessories. Their latest drop is the limited edition, vintage-inspired Deep Currents soccer jersey, which finds the brand collaborating with global sportswear pioneer Umbro.
