In honor of International Jazz Month this April, The Betsy Hotel, which proudly hosts the region’s longest-running jazz series, is celebrating its role as a longtime incubator for the arts with a series of special events in collaboration with local organizations.
With over 500 performances each year, The Betsy serves as a vibrant stage for both emerging and established artists. Performances take place at the hotel’s Piano Bar (featuring a Steinway grand piano and an Old Havana ambience), which offers free live jazz nine times a week with no cover charge or drink minimum. The program brings together award-winning local, national and international talent, reaffirming jazz as a vital part of Miami’s cultural landscape.

- Sunday – Thursday: 6 – 11 p.m.
- Friday & Saturday: 6 p.m. to Midnight
- Saturday & Sunday Brunch: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Upcoming highlights include:
- Intergenerational Jazz Nights (third Thursday of the month) – Features emerging talents from FIU and UM, curated by The Ellis Duo.
- International Jazz Day (April 30) – Features the Diaspora Vibe Afrobeat All-Stars, blending Afrobeat, reggae, funk, jazz and hip-hop.
- Community Partnerships – The Betsy collaborates with institutions such as FIU’s iWitness program, IPC ArtSpace and the Miami Beach Culture Crawl to amplify Miami’s jazz legacy.
