GolfZon Simulators Leading Golf’s Move Indoors in Minnesota
The rising popularity of golf during the pandemic was well documented, but Minnesota is now experiencing another boom related to the game. This wave is focused on the growing popularity of indoor/simulated golf, a perfect concept for midwesterners starving for the game during winter months.
Golfzon is a manufacturer of the most advanced golf simulators in the world, including the $70k “Two Vison” which is popping up all over the Twin Cities. In October, Lakeville Links opened south of the city (featuring six TwoVisions) and has already amassed a tremendous local following. Additionally, Element Indoor Golf near White Bear Lake upgraded its facility to now include more than 10 TwoVision simulators, while Birdi Golf in Woodbury is also using the company’s high-end, ultra-realistic sims.
These venues are being opened by entrepreneurs looking to get involved with the game they love and provide something entertaining for the community. The facilities don’t just offer golf, they have full bars and extensive menus that rival many local restaurants. In short, they are meant to be gathering places for fun competition and a good time.
The National Golf Foundation reports that in 2021 there were 24.8M players who consumed the game at off-course venues (i.e. Topgolf, simulator golf, etc.). And with the cold weather setting in, these places are getting very busy in Minnesota
